Risk Manager

With Risk Manager, you can assess and score your risks. Each risk can be scored by likelihood and impact on a 3, 5, or 10 point scale across the relevant entities or business processes. Risks can be visualized by the Org heatmap, or the Risk heatmap based on likelihood and impact.

Figure 1 displays the workflow in Risk Manager. Before using Risk Manager, an Account Admin or Risk Manager Admin must complete the folowing:

1. Add a risk

  1. Click Risk Profile in the main navigation menu.
  2. Click the plus sign in the Assess column header.
  3. Enter the details of the risk. \ You will need to associate the risk with a business process.
  4. Click Save. **

  1. Click Risk Profile in the main navigation menu.
  2. Locate the risk item you want to assess. \ Click the arrow to the right of the item to expand the entry.
  3. Click Assess .
  4. Rate the Likelihood and Impact of the risk occurring for each category based on the 3, 5, or 10 point scale configured for your organization.

    Note After you have assessed the risk, the Risk Score and Risk Heat values are displayed on the left side of the risk item on Risk Profile.
  5. Visualize risks {style="letter-spacing: 0.15px;"}


  1. Select Visualize > Risk Heatmap in the main navigation menu.
  2. Hover over the risk in either the ranked list or in the graph to view information about Likelihood, Impact, Score, and Heat values.
  1. Click Download PDF to generate a report listing the risks ranked in order and a graph with each risk plotted.\ ​The report is generated and displayed in a new browser window. You can save the report locally to your computer as a PDF file.
  2. Select Visualize > Org Heatmap in the main navigation menu.
  3. Hover your mouse over the corresponding circle in the table.\ Click inside the circle to view the list of risks.
  4. Click Download PDF to generate a report showing the Org Heatmap. \ The report is generated and displayed in a new browser window. You can save the report locally to your computer as a PDF file.

  5. Assign a risk to an appropriate state


  1. Click the risk tile from the current status panel.
  2. Drag the risk tile to the new location. \ A box with a dashed border and shaded background is displayed where your risk item will be saved. If you drag the risk tile to the Accepted status panel or Mitigated status panel, you will be prompted to select the duration of time to accept or mitigate the risk.

  3. Track a risk {style="letter-spacing: 0.15px;"}


  1. Click Risk Profile in the main navigation menu.
  2. Locate the risk item you want to track.\ Click the arrow to the right of the item to expand the entry.
  3. Click Track .
  4. View information on the cost impact of the risk in dollars, the number of transactions associated with the risk, and identified issues for the risk.\ You can also view a monthly summary of the Total, New, and Remediated issues for the risk.
